About the role
Join PwC’s Crisis and Resilience team, an inclusive, collaborative practice helping clients prepare for disruption and make effective decisions under pressure. As Senior Manager – Crisis and Resilience (Defence), you’ll lead work with defence, national security and public sector organisations.
You’ll shape and deliver crisis management, operational resilience and strategic risk programmes, advising senior stakeholders and leading multi-workstream engagements. The role is UK based, with travel to PwC offices and client sites as required.
You’ll bring credible defence, military or similar operational experience, strong consulting delivery and commercial judgement. You’ll enjoy meaningful client impact, varied challenges and helping grow the practice
What your days will look like
- Your work will help clients build resilience, respond to disruption and turn lessons into better controls.
- Lead crisis management, operational resilience and strategic risk engagements for defence and public sector clients.
- Advise senior client stakeholders and support executive decision-making under pressure.
- Lead teams while overseeing delivery quality, budgets, governance, risks and dependencies.
- Support business development, including opportunity shaping, proposals and account growth
This role is for you if:
- You have led crisis management, operational resilience, business continuity or strategic risk programmes.
- You have military, defence or comparable operational leadership experience.
- You have managed scope, budget, margin, risks, issues and resourcing across complex engagements.
- You have influenced senior stakeholders through workshops, steering groups or executive briefings.
- You have contributed to sales, proposal development or client account growth.
